“Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.” So begins Mark Antony at Caesar’s funeral in Julius Caesar, Act III, Scene II and continues
“I have come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interrèd with their bones.
So let it be with Caesar.”
Most people know and can quote the opening line in this scene by heart, yet they don’t know the rest or it’s meaning. Shakespeare is calling attention to the words to follow as important, hence, “lend me your ears.” Pay close attention! Then he gives a clear call for history to remember Caesar as an ambitious tyrant as opposed to a gilded leader.

We have come to bury the old economic system, not to champion it as praiseworthy. We are the correction of the corruption, and no one can prevent the paradigm shift that is about to occur. We are not touting anything close to communism, socialism, or fascism. No, we are championing a new form of egalitarian capitalism where everyone can win and there is joy spread in all directions. When losers are eliminated from the equation, everyone wins.
The unfair old ways in which a few at the top win and the masses lose should be remembered as such.
The glorified legacy left behind by the corrupt few should be forgotten lest succeeding generations yearn to return to those unscrupulous times. There were the “robber barons” of the nineteenth century: four men in particular made names – and, subsequently, much money – for themselves during this time: JP Morgan, Cornelius Vanderbilt, John D. Rockefeller, and Andrew Carnegie. Knowing history did not prevent this from happening once again. The most notable “robber barons” today are Bill Gates (founder of Microsoft), Jeff Bezos (Amazon), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), and Google’s co-founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They occupy this scavenger position, picking over the dead bones of businesses that went under or were assimilated as theirs ascended and while their personal fortunes mounted.
